December weekly check-in

Hello there! How was week 2 of December for you?

And what are your plans for week 3?

After a break due to travelling and a cold, I finally went back to Crossfit today. After 150 squats in different variations, I'm now dead.

Traveling for the rest of the week... So there probably won't be much happening.

Ran 10ish miles, as planned. Got a yoga ball and commenced sitting on it for approx. 10 hours/day, followed by epic confusion over why I was so hungry and exhausted. Turns out bouncing for 10 hours will do that, oops. Failed to do my damn kegels. Succeeded in going to the chiropractor who popped the rib I partially dislocated in childbirth back into place, and magically fixed 90% of my back pain while running in the process. Why did it take me weeks to do that, argh.

Next week: More of the same. Plus the damn kegels.

Still injured, still not running.

Bummer. Hopefully the rest will help. When do you have to start training for Boston?

December 1st. :-(

I haven't given up on it entirely, but it's not going to be a PR unless magic happens.

I went for my first run in 2 months. 2 miles, slow as... no actually, I think molasses was faster than I was. 12.5 minute miles. BUT I RAN.

And my shoulder is almost completely healed. I should be "graduated" from PT as of tomorrow, [lord willin' and the creeks don't rise.]

I've done my PT exercising, 2 hours a day, diligently, every day for nine weeks now. I deserve a little, sticky, gold star stuck to my forehead, y'all. :-)

TWO HOURS A DAY?

More than a gold star, I'd say. Go you!

Did about 14 miles (this includes power walking). And did manage 3 hours of activity. That was less than I'd hoped. Next week, 20 miles, and maybe 2-3 hours or activity.

Continuing to take it easy - ran 3 times, for total of 14 miles :)

For reasons of work Christmas party and messing my ankles up dancing too much (I never dance, so my ankles weren't prepared at all), I only went for three runs for a total of 13 km or thereabouts.

Ankles still not happy, so not sure about how smart a four-runs-totalling-at-least-17-km goal is. But that's the goal so far.

Ran twice, total of 9.6 miles and was at the dojo every single day except Friday. Then I took my shodan test and am now a blackbelt in aikido...
