This weekend I ran my fastest 5K yet, 28:xx! I'm very thrilled - and surprised, as I gave blood on Monday, and while others feel that drain for no more than a day or two, I get winded for easily a week after. And it sure felt like hard work while running, and after crossing the finish line, I worried I'd puke (but thankfully didn't). So yay for PR!
If you commented on my post asking about running tights inseam, thanks! I finally found the Underarmour Frosty Tight size small on sale at venussports.co.uk. They were very tight around the ankles when I got them, but it seems a lot better now after a wash and two uses, and otherwise the fit is perfect, and they are very warm. Great buy.
And I finally got a running icon of me (parts of me, anyways) :o)
Oh, and the cold and dark hasn't yet made any significant impact on how often I go running (which is: Not Often Enough; twice a week at most, usually) - I'm getting better at running at night, which fits my schedule and needing to sleep for as long as I can in the morning (I usually get up at 6 or 6:30 am for work) better.
Mood-wise, I'm feeling the impact of the shorter days, though, but October/November are always difficult for me in that respect. Usually it picks up in December again.
