Weekly check-in
How did running last week?
Those of you not posting: Feeling bad about not currently running/too embarrassed to admit you haven't been able to drag yourself out to run? Maybe knowing you're not the only one having trouble finding motivation can actually help you find motivation. (I know when I've had longer breaks, it can be depressing to hear about how well seemingly everyone else is doing.)

But, my one run went great - 4K of 2 mins running/45 secs walking intervals. It felt like it was slow going while out there, but it was a beautiful sunny day (if cold: below freezing, not counting wind-chill), and I saw my first eranthis of the year. And went I got home, I had made my projected time with 15 secs to spare \o/
This week I'll continue doing 4K interval running, hopefully making it to all of two runs this week :o)

So currently I always run on sidewalks, and it's definitely harder on the joints, especially my knees. At least I'm still running such short distances, and run/walk intervals most of the time, that it's not a great strain. I miss living nearer gravel/forest paths, though.
Yes, cold! It's -3,5°C here right now - I think we've had a lot of the same weather as you this winter.

I so need a cup icon! I've tried making one, but they never come out how I want them, boo.

I didn't run at all when there was snow (i.e. ice/slush) on the ground here; way too scary :o(
Hopefully balmy spring temperatures will arrive soon.

My running has been going well as we have had a very dry and (apart from one early very cold snap) warm winter. Today it was a bit below freezing although sunny, but most days it's been 40-45F (5-7C), and I have run in shorts or running skirt a half dozen times! Definitely easier to run, though, when I don't have to cope with bad weather as so many of you do.

Last week got 14 miles in over 2 runs. this week - zero. have no idea what's going to happen at the 1/2 i'm doing in a month :-(
i've bruised my ribs pretty badly and running *hurts* and the doctor took it completely off the table.

Am now confident I can do the half-marathon (good thing because that's in less than 3 weeks). Looking forward to shorter runs though, and daylight allowing me to move back on to the river trails and away from the boring but well-lit sidewalks... also, will most likely be scaling back after the half, because it feels like all I've been doing in my spare time is exercise - running, swimming, belly-dancing...
And no, still proudly not thin :)

I've mostly been running on an indoor track because of the ice and cold.

5-7C sound a lot nicer then the zero-to-5-below C we having. Can't wait for balmy spring, mmm.

I'm very curious as to the meaning behind this, if I may ask?

Because I love food, and I appear destined to be living proof that one can be fit without being thin...

Anyways, yay for curvy and in shape, I wouldn't mind curves! Unfairly, my already small boobs are the first to go when I lose weight :o)
