Tuesday is the new Monday - weekly check in

So runners, how was your week? Tell us what was the hardest thing for you this week and/or the most rewarding...

Random quote of the day -

Running long and hard is an ideal antidepressant, since it's hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time. Also, there are those hours of clearheadedness that follow a long run.

Am at least starting to run regularly again, now that winter is finally over (no snickering in the back there - only last Thursday did I bike to work in below-freezing temps in the morning!). Ran twice this week, 7.5 miles total.

Since I'm a bit out of shape after the winter and have not yet fully got my breathing under control again, I'm making myself take it slow; surprised myself by managing consistent 11 minute miles for my almost-4-mile loop today, without feeling the need for a walking break. And yes, by my standards, that's pretty fast!

The hardest part? Getting up and doing it. The most rewarding? Having done it. Stretching and heading for a nice warm shower.
