Tuesday is the new Monday - weekly check in

So runners, how was your week? Tell us what was the hardest thing for you this week and/or the most rewarding...

Random quote of the day -

Running long and hard is an ideal antidepressant, since it's hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time. Also, there are those hours of clearheadedness that follow a long run.

I've found that *antidepressants* are the ideal antidepressants, unless your depression is relatively mild. Exercise is great, but it doesn't cure everything. Also, you have to be healthy enough to start doing it in the first place! :)

Last week I did two five-mile runs and a 10.6-mile run in preparation for the half-marathon this weekend. The 10-miler was pretty tough, since it was warming up and the humidity was 83%. But I did it!

This week, I'm tapering. I did four miles this morning and will do two tomorrow, with maybe a little light cross-training Thursday but maybe not. I need to get myself psyched up for the race!

Ooh, good luck on your half! I hope the weather is not too hot and humid for you.

Thank you!

It looks like it might rain, which I don't mind if it's warm. We'll just have to see.
