November Challenge

Hi everybody! It's time for another monthly estimate for our running/active hours totals. I myself have been sidelined by injury, and ordered NOT to do any running, but my daily physical therapy exercises are going to be my contribution to the process. (Additionally, many thanks to Ell for offering to be my stunt double for the couple of days at the end of the month when I'm traveling. She'll post our final check-in entry for November, and then I'll do the end-tallying a few days later, after everyone's had a chance to report in.)

I have an idea for where our run might take us that involves a lot of rambling trails in Great Britain (thanks for voting to stick it out for now, Scotland; makes my terminology a bit simpler.) If all goes to plan, we will start in the Scottish Highlands and end up at the white cliffs of Dover. We shall have to see if we can make the distance.

So, what do you hope to accomplish this month?

Ooh, running from the Highlands to Dover sounds awesome! Thank you so much for hosting. I hope your recovery is quick and not too miserable.

I'm aiming for 40 km running and 25 hours of miscellaneous activity, probably mostly walking.

I'll aim really, really low this time.
50km of running and 20 hours of activity, most of which *should* be climbing.

Hee, I used to climb, too. I don't so much any more mostly because I no longer live where it is ubiquitously easy to go out and do.

I'm going to go with 25 hours of Aikido and 80 miles running. Can't wait to get to those white cliffs of Dover :-)

Oooh, Scotland! I'm in, with (hopefully) another 80 miles run and 20 hours on the bike and doing other stuff!

Hmm. I am taking a bit of a break over these last weeks of October and November before ramping up again. But I am sure I won't be able to stop running, because I like running. So let's say 120 miles.

I'll be all over the place. Still recovering my achilles tendon and started crossfit which atm leaves me quite sore...

Goals: 2x crossfit every week. Get as much slow recovery running in as safely possible....

CF is kinda hard to time. I estimate it's about 30 minutes of actually working out each session. So... A whopping 4 hours this month ;)

85 miles running, 4 other active hours.

I don't have any races planned, so I'm hoping that trying to get to 1,000 miles by the end of the year will keep me motivated.
