October challenge check-in + November captain

How did week 4 go?

What's in the plans for the last week?

Any takers for November?

(If not, I'll continue, and go back to a mileage/hour challange, because I for one do better with those. And I've thought of an easy way to do some bar and pie charts for us, so that might be fun. But only if noone else wants a go!)

Week 4 did not go well. I got a stomach virus the night before the Marine Corps Marathon and was sick enough not to run it. :-( I have another marathon in 3 weeks, so I'm looking at doing that. I have maybe 4 hours of activity and 80 or so hours of running/walking.

I carefully started running again - only 2.81km, but that's when my achilles heel started complaining.

Other: a brisk walk during a break at work. Had my first crossfit session yesterday.

Let's not talk about my October. I did not run Frankfurt on the rather emphatic advice of my doctor :-(

I would be willing to take November if you need a break, though :-)

Week 4: 22 miles, 1 hour other activity.

Plans for this week: 25 miles.

Looking ahead, I could manage check-ins in December. This definitely helps keep me on track!

Ell, *I* can take November, if you can cover for me for the very end of that challenge, since we are traveling from Nov. 26-30. If you are willing to do "final check-in" post, I can tally the numbers when I get back and post our accomplishment. I have a plan for what route to cover, even! :-)

I don't want to talk about my november exercise situation, either. I'm currently in PT, three days a week for my shoulder, and under orders to stop running entirely for now. :-(

*whispers* are we getting old or something?
Nah. Couldn't be. Pass the rum, we'll get past this.

OK, I can be your stunt double at the end of November :-)

*hugs*

*hugs* fingers crossed for the next marathon! October just wasn't our month around here.

Thanks. October could have been better running-wise, that's for sure. :-)

I ran 10 km of my 12 km target, which was reasonably good if not perfect.

Goal for the last bit of October: run twice before the end of the month (any distance) and hit my goal pace over 5 km. I actually managed the latter yesterday before I got round to commenting here to say that was my goal, so if I can run tomorrow I'll make it.

I sat on my butt last week and am continuing to do so.

(Actually I ran 3 miles last week, and have run 7 so far this one.)

Sure, I can do it. I will use a simple weekly plan/check-in approach like you did in October, if that's ok.
