46.5 miles (yay!) and 13 active hours so far. Next week's bike trip should help skew that balance a little more towards the active hours :)

Well, the last break wasn't for injury, it was for non-running-related surgery, so I felt okay about coming back to speed quickly.

Don't forget to bring a swimsuit! We are going to hot springs country!

Um, I can't think of anything I really need that I can't get here, other than acetaminophen/paracetamol with codeine. My supply from England is about gone... But maybe I shall think of something. Sweets are always good!

91.6 miles and 26 hours so far. now that i am actually counting the time i spend being active in aikido class, things add up quickly. do not ask me why i thought they didn't really count before. i come out of class sweaty and tired and i'm still working on convincing myself that it really is a sport activity. mostly because my mental health barometer is a bit skewed. i find myself lately blaming the rest of the world for not seeing the truth of the matter that i am in reality a lazy failure. academically, i get that i'm doing the equivalent of a part time job with aikido and running (and biking to and from work) in addition to the full time job that i am actually doing, but when i look at myself, i still see failure. yes, i know i need help, no i still haven't convinced myself i deserve it. meanwhile, my long runs are going spectacularly. i am a contradiction. sorry for the comment spamming, feel free to ignore.

35.5km! And my heel is acting up, so I might be on DL for the rest of the month. But at least I got really close to my running goal! (and you know, we'll see what my heel thinks of this all after a few days of rest)

I was basically away from 9th August until today, but as of 19th I had run 10 km of my goal of 25 km. I had also clocked 19 active hours, because it turned out that the con involved a whooole lot more walking than I'd been expecting when I set myself a lowball goal of 15 hours.

I don't understand what it is this year, but I have only 4km to add to my total distance. And 5 hours of active time.

Far, far away from my goals but life has decided to be crazy this month. or maybe this summer...
