August challenge check-in & update

How's running going? Post current mileage/active hours :)

I wanted to do a lot of things, including posting our progress in a timely manner, but no. For kicks, I think I converted our mileages (miles/km) to marathons, for a common measure for our collective mileage goal/progress. We already ran 6 marathons? That's not half bad!

Well, now it is. *g* And about 20°C cooler than last week. But before that, we had dry Sahara winds in addition to the heat. Trees around here are brown and burned.

Everything's better since Sunday, though, so I hope I can finally go running again this weekend.

I...think I'm going to have to bow out of this month's challenge. Between starting work again after maternity leave, putting the baby in nursery and getting ill almost immediately, running is just not happening.

On the plus side, I'm cycling 30-40 km a week, taking the baby to and from nursery. But running...no. :(

Yes! It helps very much to have the cycling automatically built into my day.

I need to find a way to build running into my day as well.
