Let's have a DW runners T-shirt this year!

Greetings runners!

I have an idea for a group T-shirt for us. But I need your help. In comments below (if you feel comfortable doing so, of course) leave some info about one race (or non-race run) that you are excited about doing this year. Maybe date and location or date and name of the event (triathlons, mud runs, vacations where you're looking forward to an epic hike, really anything where you put on a pair of running shoes and sweat works here)

I'll get back to y'all with a design next week and you can then tell me what you like or don't like and then i can register it with cafepress or zazzle or something so we can print on demand...

Happy running!

Fun idea! I'm looking forward to hearing about other runners' plans.

I'm most excited about a trail half marathon I'm doing in Michigan at the end of April.

Where in MI? Not that I'll be there in April or anything, but I grew up in the Detroit suburbs, spent many happy summer weeks in the UP, and am currently debating future retirement living in the Traverse City area. *mitten-hand salute* :-)

Retiring near Traverse City sounds lovely! Though maybe difficult for outdoor running in the winter?

The trail half is near Pinckney. I recently found this series of trail races in northern lower MI and the UP: http://www.greatlakesendurance.com/michigan-races.html. I probably can't do any this year, for scheduling reasons, but I would like to make one a goal race next year.

Pinckney! I know the area well. When I was a kid, my parents had a little sailboat we kept at Kensington Metropark, not too far from there. We'd spend every weekend out in the countryside around there, hiking in the woods and getting chewed up by the state bird (the mosquito).

Very cool list of the races Up North! And good luck with the trail run in April -- may the weather gods smile on your timing!
