January Challenge: update 1

In the past, I've waited and waited for everyone to check in, and when the last participant did, I'd be two days away from the computer. So this month I plan to post updates ca. 2 days after check-ins whether or not everyone has checked in. I'm also contemplating posting more frequent check-ins/updates - say ca. every 5 days - unless you'd all find that stressful. As a participant I'm always looking forward to the next check-in/update, myself.
