March Challenge final check in!
Happy Monday Runners! Check in here with the last of your March mileage!
We had a gorgeous weekend here in Germany and had a great long run yesterday. Earlier in the week, I was still in the US on the east coast where my run last Wednesday took place in freezing wind and right after a snowstorm. Ah spring!
I am failing completely to update the challenge in the way I'd hoped to, but at least I'm managing the Monday check-ins!
Here's where we stand so far:
The Crew:
meri_oddities 91 miles of 110 miles or 177 km = 83%
ridicully 104 km of 93 miles or 150 km = 69%
silveraspen 50 miles or 81 km
franzi 12 km of 9 miles or 15 km = 80%
temve 131.4 mi of 140 miles or 226 km = 93%
thalia 47 miles 65 miles or 105 km = 72%
semielliptical 42 miles of 55 miles or 89 km = 76%
linaelyn 81 miles of 75 miles or 121 km = 108%
blnchflr 50.5 km of 44 miles or 71 km = 71%
ilanarama 150.5 miles of 200 miles or 323 km = 70%
seventhe 10.5 miles of 15 miles or 24 km = 70%
calico_jane 27.74 miles of 35 miles or 56 km = 79%
ell 127.5 miles of 160 miles or 258 km = 80%
cadenzamuse 2.8 miles + yoga Supernumerary (means she doesn't have to stand watch and swab decks. That's what all the scientists on the HMS Challenger were designated as.)
Up to last Monday, we ran 784 miles (1264 km) which is 77% of our total goal for the month and 92% of the way to Halifax!
I was still in the US for half this week and am still struggling to get back to my normal routine.
For next month,
calico_jane has possibly volunteered to do the updates (or I completely misunderstood); anyway, it will all become clear in comments, I'm sure.
We've got several folks who are on the DL list (yes, baseball season started today, so there will be some baseball references creeping in occasionally) so for next month, I make a motion that walking, yoga, swimming, etc also count in some way to our totals - maybe we could have a running distance total and an hours of movement total so that the folks who are going crazy because they can't run can see that they're not just sitting around but are actively recovering!

*Breaks ankle*
- A couple of hours ago I was thinking my knees weren't that sore, so maybe I could do my squats. Yeah, no :)
