Monday Check-in and Update

Happy Monday Runners!

First, I'd like to apologize for being a slacker and not posting more interesting things and charts across the Atlantic and stuff, but as it turns out, taking a week to visit friends in America and do martial arts every day puts a dent in both my running mileage and my internet time so today is a relatively unembellished update. With a week to go, here's where everyone was last Monday:

The Crew:
[personal profile] meri_oddities 43 miles of 110 miles or 177 km = 39%
[personal profile] ridicully 75 km of 93 miles or 150 km = 48%
[personal profile] silveraspen 50 miles or 81 km
[profile] franzi 11.97 km of 9 miles or 15 km = 80%
[personal profile] temve 94.4 mi of 140 miles or 226 km = 67%
[personal profile] thalia 30 miles 65 miles or 105 km = 46%
[personal profile] semielliptical 31 miles of 55 miles or 89 km = 56%
[personal profile] linaelyn 57.26 miles of 75 miles or 121 km = 76%
[personal profile] blnchflr 26.2 km of 44 miles or 71 km = 37%
[personal profile] ilanarama 107.8 miles of 200 miles or 323 km = 54%
[personal profile] seventhe 3.3 miles of 15 miles or 24 km = 22%
[personal profile] calico_jane 11 miles of 35 miles or 56 km = 31%
[personal profile] ell 102.5 miles of 160 miles or 258 km = 64%
[personal profile] cadenzamuse 2.8 miles + yoga Supernumerary (means she doesn't have to stand watch and swab decks. That's what all the scientists on the HMS Challenger were designated as.)

Up to last Monday, we ran 537 miles (870 km) which is 53% of our total goal for the month and 63% of the way to Halifax!

I managed 25 miles this week in between all the shouting and wearing of white pajamas and bamboo stick beatings, bringing me up to 127.7 miles for the month with a week still to go!

And finally, any volunteers for next month?

Happy Running!

I had to have another surgery today and while it was minor, and I won't have to have another 6 weeks break, I'm still gonna take it easy for the next two weeks-ish.

So the 12km are my final :P

With today's run, I'm at 131.4 miles. That sounds insane, doesn't it? Also, anagram of pi. Or something.

11 more miles, 42 total so far.

Haha, I don't even plan to run (much) while I'm traveling. Usually I'm doing lots of other things that are quite active!

I am at 150.3 miles for the month!

I forgot to report in! I've got 7.2 miles more (4+3.2 XD)

I am awful at reporting in, due to having a whopping zero miles due to illness after previous injury.

I'm hopeful to get back on track at the end of the week, though! And will pick a more realistic goal next month.

No need to apologize! You are traveling and that throws everything off-kilter. And it's not like you have been skimping on the exercise, you silly aikido-person. (You look good in those white PJ's though. I'm just sayin'.)

So far this month, I've run for a total of 81 miles. Blasted right past that goal number! :-D))))

I've got too much going on in April to take on the next month, but can I "pre-sign-up" for being the volunteer to coordinate May's challenge? If folks are still interested... Anyway, I'll offer to the whole group in a separate post, about mid-April.

My total for the month is 104km so far. And with visiting family just now, I doubt that I will make my goal. But it was quite an increase from last month and I *did* run more than without the challenge, so all is well.

Another 5 miles for me this week. And I'll sign up for next month - I may even get a but closer to reaching my target!

Just asking out of egotism; feel free not to take it into account:

Would it be possible to do a challenge that included longer walks somehow? I need to rest my joints after yesterday's half marathon, and I need to start preparing for a hiking vacation in early June, so my running mileage in April will be low - but it'd be nice to have an extra incentive to get out and do the walks.

Thanks - I'm not sure it was particularly rough, I just let my psyche get the better of me, which was a rookie mistake, tsk!
