God, it was hard not to check the one involving pirates. And boats. You know me toooooooo well.

But I wanted to emphasize that I really loved the group distance challenge, because it turns my running from an essentially competitive task to an essentially cooperative one! While I'm not much motivated by the competitive "let's beat someone else" thing, I'm VERY motivated to carry my part of the task with a group, and also to help others by adding more mileage to the total, once my own distance is met. It makes me happy.

This! This is why this running group is so different and so much more fun than the typical groups...

(But there's no reason why we can't be all running together on a course from a sailboat race...)

But yes, I was thinking of you when I added the pirate option :-)
