Personal goal mileage for February

To get us started with our February [community profile] runners challenge, please comment with your goal mileage for the month! (Remember it's only 28 days...) You're welcome to participate in the challenge whether or not you have a personal goal - just post your miles on the challenge posts and I'll add them in - but it will help me select an appropriate virtual destination if I have a vague idea of how "far" we might get.

I'm gonna throw in for another 200 miles. Who else?

35 miles. I signed up for my first half, which is going to force me to get more consistent. If only the weather cooperates....

First weekend in May.

The Lakefront 10-miler should be great, if the weather isn't awful. (This year don't get your hopes up--the way things are going we'll get a foot of snow.) We'll have to meet up, at least, and if you feel like staying an extra day or two you're welcome to stay with us.

Actually, I'm very close to Argonne--Matt's father worked there, and Matt drives past it every day. We'll definitely sort something out. If you weren't doing the race I'd say you should go for a run at Waterfall Glen, which is basically a wooded 10-mile loop around Argonne.

Let's see - I didn't quite make my 40 last month, but I'm upping my pledge to push toward a training goal anyway. 50 miles.

I'm training toward the Colfax half in May.

Well, I got nowhere near 20, but I had a cold and kidney stones. Not sure how the kidney stones are doing, so let's say 15 miles? *feels like a wimp*

You are not a wimp at all! You are persisting and thus awesome.

Agree, no wimpiness - come on, kidney stones! Hope it won't be too hard getting back to it.

I just checked the training plan and it say 145 for February. I'm going to hedge my bets and sign up for 140 to take into account the inevitable missed run. I haven't had a month over 100 miles in about a year and a half. This should be fun. :-)

I didn't sign up last month, but how about 100+ miles for February. Should be easy since I'm running Austin this month. Or do races not count?

I count my races! It's about total mileage, not about training mileage.

50 miles. That's less than 2 per day, so I think I can manage it, even with the health challenges of this month.
