Just another way to donate to Red Cross NZ, but it might appeal to members of this community. My heart goes out to cyphomandra and everyone else who lives in and around Christchurch. I was there almost exactly two years ago and I remember it as such a beautiful place - the photos are horrifying and sobering indeed.

Thank you for posting this - that's the weekend of my first half-marathon, and that gives me one more reason to finish it! I'll be wearing green instead of black and red, but I have been known to sport faux moko on my face so I might just do that :)

Thanks for this. I'm fine, as are all my immediate friends and family, but the city is shattered. It's all just horrible.
