weekly Check In

Happy Monday all!

How was your training last week? Any good race reports for us? What are your plans for the next week?

Here's a quote for you:

The beauty of running is its simplicity; the beauty of runners is that we all have a similar drive to improve. We are either trying to run a personal best, or toeing the line for the first time, which will snowball into a future of trying to run personal bests. We road racers are a tight community of mileage-happy, limit-pushing athletes.

Do you agree with her?

I was definitely doing well, running between 4 and close to 7 miles a day, but I was set back a couple of days when my heel got caught in the (irony) anti slip stuff on the stairs in one of the T stations here and I took a tumble. I hit my head and banged up my leg/knee pretty badly. That was Thursday, and I was back on the treadmill Saturday, having to stop at 4 mi and run them really slowly. But at least it seems like just bumps and bruises as opposed to real damage!
