Proudest moments

Yesterday I caught other runners for the first time! My dad was coaching and as I passed him he said "There's two just gone round the corner." They weren't going that fast, so I thought 'I can have them!' I decided to go for it, even if the effort of it screwed up my run.

As I don't wear contacts or glasses when I run, I couldn't see who I was chasing. When I finally caught them, I looked around to see who I had been doing battle with. It was the old man who plays St. Patrick in the local parade, and his friend who has Huntingdon's disease. So proud. To be fair, this is actually an improvement from the first and only race I ever ran where I was beaten by an eighty-three year old.

So [community profile] runners, my question is what are your 'proudest' moments?

I had a mind-block that I couldn't run more than five minutes in a row, and now I have! (My next goal is to run eight minutes in a row. Small steps!)

Speaking of which: I am very proud today for moving on to week 5, day two, after being stuck on week 5 day 1 for about two weeks. And I actually ran more than I needed to! It was a great day.
