Weekly Check-in :-)

Inspiring quote for today:

"I always loved running...it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs."

-Jesse Owens

So, runners, how was your week? What was your favorite sight while running this week?

I got out for a 3-mile run on Saturday morning - my first run in 3 weeks - but even though it didn't hurt while running, my peroneal tendon was tweaky-feeling the rest of the day, and really bothered me yesterday and this morning. Fortunately, my physical therapist made the owie go away, and she assured me that I hadn't totally torpedoed my recovery, but I don't think I'll be running for another few weeks.

I did take several nice mountain bike rides last week, and the desert wildflowers are out now. I posted some photos on my journal.

Ooh, pretty. I hope your peroneal tendon calms down and relaxes while you're in non-running mode!
