Weekly Check-in :-)

Inspiring quote for today:

"I always loved running...it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs."

-Jesse Owens

So, runners, how was your week? What was your favorite sight while running this week?

Last week was pretty good. I did another 10K training run, which makes me giddy to know that I can run that far even if it takes me 1.5hrs to do it. I shredded my pants while I ran, so I must have been an interesting sight to others.

The best thing I saw this week was...hmm, maybe the matching tourists. A lot of tourists like to wear the same t-shirts, usually in a solid color or with touristy slogan. But this week I saw a gaggle of women who all wore match navy and white glitter striped outfits. I'm pretty sure they weren't costumes, merely well matched tourists in stripes...
