New Year, New Challenge!
I'm going to try to run a January challenge. If you'd like to participate, please post your distance goal and/or active hours goal in the comments!
New participants are welcome! The distance goal can be in miles or kilometers, but I'll assume miles if you don't specify. Active hours can be a particular type of activity (usually biking for me), or total amount of activity (swimming, martial arts, hiking, whatever).

Because I have moved and am no longer a bike commuter but will endeavour to swim with my injured wife at least as long as her free gym passes hold: 5 hours actived.
Happy New Year!

I'm aiming for 45km per week running in January - so that's a total of 180km by the 29th - and 190km by the 31st!

Plus...4 active hours?
I'm trying to work back up into movement practices from having been pretty sedentary for most of last year, so I'm starting very small and slow.

If anyone has any advice for a first-time marathoner, particularly on what to eat during the days leading up to the race and fueling during the race, I would be very thankful for any suggestions offered. I have run 3 half marathons so far with mostly water and some Gatorade.
Happy 2017!
