Not officially taking part in the challenge... But something encouraging:
I hummed and hawed at the weights I should use for last night's workout. Picked the heavier option, and even though I had to modify it because the left part of my neck was telling me I wouldn't do any overhead squats paired with push presses (and to please do front squats instead) - I made it and with 4 minutes to spare.
Here is the very most encouraging thing I have to tell you, to tell everyone tonight:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
We have Checks. We have Balances. Democracy rights itself, given time. My country, right or wrong. If right, to be kept right, and if wrong, to be set right.
Also, plantar pain notwithstanding, I made my goals. 28 running miles (4-1 intervals) so far this month.
I reminded myself that running/being active makes me stronger, physically and emotionally, and helps me get through the difficult (terrible, actually, this is so terrible) times.
