July Challenge: Post goals + vote for format

Post your goals for the July Challenge in the comments:

Mileage:
Active hours:

Which format should we do in July?

I'm not going to be as creative as the other challenges, but I like the idea of seeing progress on a map, so if there's interest, I'd find a suitable route and map our progress. I plan to count active hours as average walking speed and convert to miles.

I am of necessity going to have to cut back hard on my running this month. 70 miles?

I've got a big backpacking trip planned, so I'm spending the days prior to it on training for that. I don't know how much running I'm going to manage, but I'm setting my sights pretty low there. Conversely, the active hours should be a lot higher for me.

Running: 25 miles
Active hours: 35

Thanks for taking over the organizing this month! :-)

I vote YES for big backpacking trips!

Thanks for organizing the July challenge! I am happy with whatever format works best for you. :)

I voted yes for virtual travel, but really, I'm happy either way. Having the July challenge organised at all is good :)

After June was a complete failure on my part and I've got a few trips planned for July that probably won't see me running that much, I'll go with the same numbers again

75km
25h of active time

I'm going to continue trying for 40 km in July, and aiming for 25 active hours.

I don't have strong views about the challenges; I do enjoy the virtual travel ones but I realize they're a lot of work, so won't complain if you just record everyone's totals.

As I'm not sure about active hours, I will just count those as extra / supernumerary.

I will aim for 25km this month...

While I love virtual travel, I'm good either way :-)

Running goal 130 miles, with 1 run/week of speedwork (I hate speedwork)

Activity goal: the usual swim/bike/sword (a new triathlon!) for 20 hours

(Thank you again for doing this!)

*joins the chorus of folks setting lower goals this month* Make mine 70 miles run and 20 hours of biking/swimming.

Oh, and I just like having goals and checking in weekly, so whatever you decide about the way you want to handle this is fine with me.
