The Road Goes Ever On And On...

So Frodo and Sam set off on the last stage of the Quest together. Frodo paddled away from the shore, and the River bore them swiftly away, down the western arm, and past the frowning cliffs of Tol Brandir. The roar of the great falls drew nearer. Even with such help as Sam could give, it was hard work to pass across the current at the southward end of the island and drive the boat eastward towards the far shore.

At length they came to land again upon the slopes of Amon Lhaw.... Then, shouldering their burdens, they set off, seeking a path that would bring them over the grey hills of Emyn Muil and down into the Land of Shadow.

June goal: 85 miles, 8 active hours

June so far: 16 miles, 1.25 active hours. Including a 5K trail race today, where I placed 2nd in my age group! Though I didn't realize this until I checked the results online later in the day, so I missed picking up my award.

I am utterly planless for June at the moment but I'm going to guesstimate 80 miles plus the usual 20 hours of activity!

Oh, and as of today, I've got 14 miles of running and 6 hours of activity...

So, my goal for June is something like 75km and another 25h of activity.

So far I've managed ... 8km.

Better pick up the pace then I guess

Thanks! I am learning that the key to placing for me is to keep showing up for smallish runs and eventually I will luck into a less competitive group of runners. :)

Hi! I've joined the runners. Although at the moment I'm mostly a walker, so I'm going to count my walking miles as my primary "running." Here are my goals: walk 100 miles this month. Run at least 5K (not necessarily in one go). I'm going to say 4 active hours, for which I'll count morning yoga when I use the Yoga Studio iPad app. The walking and running I can easily record in MapMyRun.

So far for June:
Running: 0
Walking: 30.3 miles
Active hours: 0 (my goal here starts today)

I've been bad at both exercising and reporting so far this month!

Running: goal still 40 km. As at 7th June I'd only managed one 4 km run ie 10%. But it's looking a lot better by now.

Active hours: I've reduced my goal since May was way too ambitious. I'm hoping to make 20 hours in June, and so far I've done 7 hrs or 23%
